Analytics Engineer
Turn raw data into trusted metrics, semantic models, and dashboards people use to make decisions.
About the role
You will sit between the data platform and the business. You will define metrics with stakeholders, build the models behind them, and deliver reports and dashboards that answer the questions people actually ask.
What you will do
- Work with business stakeholders to define metrics and the decisions they support
- Build tested, documented transformation layers and semantic models
- Design and build dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Set up data quality checks and definitions so numbers match across reports
- Train client users and hand over what you build
What we look for
- Experience building analytics models and dashboards used in production
- Strong SQL; experience with dbt or a similar transformation tool
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Ability to turn a vague business question into a clear metric definition
- Clear written and spoken communication
Nice to have
- Python for analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks SQL
- Consulting or client-facing experience
